Description
This is the "Heart Sunday Radio Kit" issued in 1956 by the American Heart Association to participating radio stations. It's a 16" transcription disc that plays at 33 rpm. Side 1 features Jackie Gleason in "A Salute to Heart Sunday" - "the dramatic true story of a Disc Jockey who turned the tables on heart disease." Side 2 contains promos ranging in length between 7 and 30 seconds by the stars listed below. The record comes in the original paper sleeve.
Stars featured: Lucille Ball & Dezi Arnaz, General Omar N. Bradley, Leo Durocher and Laraine Day, Judy Garland, Clark Gable, Emmett Kelly, James Mason, Martha Scott, Clifton Fadiman, Sir Cedric Hardwicke, Charlton Heston, Eleanor Roosevelt, Gertrude Berg, Marge and Gower Champion, Ozzie and Harriet Nelson, Steve Allen, Jinx Falkenburg, Van Johnson, Ralph Edwards, Jean Simmons, and Ezio Pinzo.
We don't have the correct equipment to play a 16" record, so our conservative VG grade is visual only. The vinyl has various small scuffs but appears to have been stored well in the sleeve for all these years.
Please see our other items where a couple more 16" transcription discs may still be available.
International buyers – please note: Import duties, taxes, and charges aren't included in the item price or postage cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
