Description
Up for auction we have an original circa 1956 boxed set of three 45rpm records containing dialogue and songs from the classic movie “The Wizard of Oz”. These records are on the MGM label and bear the set number X3464.I listened to part of side one and it appears the records contain excerpts from the movie in the sequence they occurred. The part I listened to on side one had dialogue between Dorothy and Auntie Em followed by Judy Garland singing “Over the Rainbow”.
Records appear to be in very good condition with little scratching until you get to side six where there are a couple noticeable scratches that may be audible when played. The record sleeves also appear to be in very good condition and the storage box is in good condition showing rubbing wear to the edges and corners from age, handling, and storage. There also appears to be some soiling to the front cover of the box and there is a small amount of writing on the back cover amongst the photos from the movie.
Please note: This item being offered at auction is an original historic artifact, not a photocopied or digitally reproduced item.
Please e-mail with any questions. High bidder will be invoiced for the high bid plus shipping costs at the end of the auction. Thanks and good luck.
We always look forward to serve you at Pot O' Gold Web Auctions.
