Description

This week I am offering a treasure trove: I found a small pile of unused Esquires, and sorted through them with a bright light to identify the best condition ones, lacking storage damage, and any spindle marks of being played by customers in the shop. No marks to playing surfaces or labels. These are the ones that are like they came out of the factory 60 years ago. Some of these are changing hands for healthy three figures, and if you have a sleeve with a worn one in, you have hit the jackpot.

Pristine vinyl 1956 Unplayed new Old Stock Barbara Lea  NOBODY ELSE BUT ME includes Quintets led by the almost forgotten trumpeter Johnny Windhurst, with nice acoustic guitar in the sound. A very fine lp, she is in the mould of same era Anita O'Day. Esquire 32-043 UK 1st Press. Last one sold for £80.
