Description
Proper heavy hitters of the Cool to Modal era on a true 50's pressing. This is a three figure lp if it was on US Columbia, and is in fact harder to find as this 65 year old UK original, in great sound - would have sold nothing and had no re-press back then. More 50s modern jazz to come all of this week.
1957 1st UK COLUMBIA 33cx with clef trumpeter labels of the Gerry Mulligan / Paul Desmond Quartet. Later reissued as Blues In Time. Dave Bailey and Joe Benjamin rhythm. Superb Fully Mint ED1Fully near mint unmarked LP in a near mint sleeve, 1st type fully laminated curved cut flipback with no issues to note. Plays Audiophile quality with liquid black backgrounds to the superbly balanced quartet. Near Mint on my Ortofon mono cart in lovely warm valve mono sound, and also, surprisingly, Near mint on a high end stereo contact line cart. I would be amazed if the MFSL matched this, let alone beat it, as they are solid state masterings. Clear pics of all details as you can see. Our ethos is to offer you best sounding analogue only pressings of vintage records. Here is another beauty of that type. We offer massive postage subsidies to overseas buyers on multiple purchases. i.e £1 extra per lp to a maximum of £15, then no extra charge. We pack carefully in custom made hard card boxes. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water. This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
