1957 1st UK HMV CLP The Drum Suite Hal McKusick Al Cohn NM LP. A five star rated lp by Downbeat back then, this is an interesting suite of modern jazz numbers by the Manny Albam/Ernie Wilkins Band, with the two saxes of McKusick and Cohn quite prominent in the music, and four drummers. Different sized groupings are used for each of the numbers. It is good stuff Who can resist these plum background shaded nipper albums from way back, with the curved cut fully laminated sleeve. Labels and surfaces a clean near mint, sleeve has a closed tear of one inch to the rear of the opening, and four staple holes, probably from mounting the sleeve on a display once. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water. This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
