Description
"Indianapolis Motor Speedway - 1957 500 Race" is a 16" transcription disc issued to radio stations to promote the event. It plays at 33 rpm and was pressed by RCA Victor (H8MM-0995). Side 1 features interviews with Harry McQuinn (Chief Steward of the race), Johnnie Parsons (the 1950 winner), and Jimmy Reece ("popular Indianapolis driver"). Side 2 contains interviews with drivers Freddie Agabashian and Cliff Griffith, chief mechanic Joe Scopa, and Tony Hulman, owner of the Speedway.
We don't have the correct equipment to play a 16" record, so our VG grade is visual only. The vinyl has various small scuffs but appears to have been stored well in the sleeve for all these years.
Please see our other items where a couple more 16" transcription discs may still be available.
International buyers – please note: Import duties, taxes, and charges aren't included in the item price or postage cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
