Uncommon in this excellent condition
1959 (issued) Microgroove 3 LP BOX SET EMI Columbia 33JCX 1583, 1584 & 1585 pressed in South Africa under directions of Columbia Graphophone Co. Ltd.

In matrix disc 1: S1: "XBX 9004-1N" and other stampers "1" & "2" sides arranged for automatic coupling (record 1 contains sides 1 & 6).
None of the 3 LPs have sounding scratches just very feint paper grazes; no defects, all with perfect labels with no spindle marks. All with double sleeves, the paper inners perfect and poly-lined; 2 of the card outers have short tears at their opening edges. There is no booklet with this set, the details are printed on the 3 card outer sleeves.
The hinged box is generally tidy with only one corner split (repaired); the lid is not impressed or defaced, just a small patch of dried label adhesive. The gilt spine titling is legible but age-dulled, the hinge is perfect.
