Description

DESCRIPTION: For sale is a vintage 1957 original issue of MILES DAVIS Miles Ahead vinyl LP record.  This is a mono recording.  The catalog number is CL 1041 on Columbia label.  This is the original US mono release (1st. Hollywood Plant Pressing).  This record features the original issue cover featuring a woman on a sailboat.  For later releases of the record, however, the original cover-photo has been substituted by a photograph of Miles Davis. This recording was the first of Miles Davis with a big band orchestra.  The orchestra was under the direction of Gil Evans.
Sale includes original inner plastic sleeve.
CONDITION:  RECORD GRADING: Very Good (VG) some surface marks with light surface noise; no skips or significant pops. SLEEVE GRADING: Good Plus (G+) some shelf wear to corners and bottom edge, front and back have wear rubbing.  Previous owners name in ink on back left top corner.  3-1/2 inch split along top edge.
