1957 Rare Textured Cover “the Chirping Crickets” Buddy Holly Brunswick LP Record.
This is an opportunity to own one of the “ Holy Grails” of early Rock and Roll album collections. The “textured” earliest version of this great album. Has the very early error where the record company printed they were from Bullock Texas instead of Lubbock Texas. This would most likely have been sold in the south or mid west due to their just breaking out at this time, and radio play mostly being in the south. This rare early cover has a split at the bottom as shown. Cover otherwise in great condition for the age. Has light pen name written top of cover, but is not too prominent so will display well from close distance. Album has light scuffs, scratches but does play through without issue.
Shows it was definitely played back in the Happy Days. Has some expected popping / clicking sounds at times to show you its a real deal non digital playing music. What a piece of American 1950’s pop culture history. Buddy Hollys picture alone is just great on the cover, with the vintage guitars. Please inspect pictures closely before bidding.
