Here is a MEGA RARE vintage Johnny Cash album from my collection offered up for sale: "The Fabulous Johnny Cash", this was Johnny's first album with Columbia Records after leaving Sam Philips Sun Record Company, beginning the start of a long and productive relationship with Columbia! This is the FIRST PRESS PROMOTIONAL DJ RADIO STATION PRESSING featuring the heavy rigid disc and the "6 EYE" white demonstration labels. Released by Columbia Records in 1958, CL 1253 MONO. The vinyl rates VG/VG+, clean and glossy, has some light marks, has a small edge warp but still plays great with very good audio clarity, light surface noise but no skips, no jumps! A very enjoyable listen! The promo labels are in great shape, clean, no signatures. The jacket rates VG+, is clean, still has deep color, nice portrait of Johnny, does have some light age discoloration, edge wear, small split at center bottom and at opening edges, the upper & lower seam have been neatly repaired(not very noticeable), small discoloration spot on rear cover (see Photo) Includes a vintage printed inner sleeve in very good condition.
