Description

This is our first sale from a top of the market collection, comprising of just early stereo rarities on Decca HMV, UK Columbia & RCA. First labels issues in Near Mint condition to 99% of them, all described in detail with plenty of pictures. Includes many items rarely seen on ebay.

  1958 First year pressing of Uk Decca SXL 2021 Meyerbeer: Les Patineurs & Massenet: Le Cid Ballets. Martinon conducts the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.

Blue ffss bordered curved cut flipback sleeve with printers date of October 1958. Labels are ED1 with original recording by.. at ten o clock, with the wide silver band and ffss circle at 12 O' clock. The pristine original company ffss inner is present. This is near mint with no marks to the playing surfaces, has clean labels and the sleeve is Mint minus. Flips are clean, no excess dirt, no splits or bends, tiny initials to bottom rear corner as shown. This is a very rare variant issue in that the flips are straight and the rear is unlaminated, one of the most scarce types of blue backs, it has the original 37 shillings and sixpence sales sticker to it.  Low 3ER3ER stampers.
