Apollo Records - LP 477. Long Play 33 1/3 RPM. ©1958.
Rare First Pressing featuring Coleman Hawkins, Ben Webster, Willis "Gator" Jackson, Illinois Jacquet, Leo Parker, Charlie "Yardbird" Parker (in session) & more. I've listened to this record and it sounds very clean. Side-1 is absolutely immaculate while Side-2 has a few bits of crackling and pops. No skips. This is a gem.
COVER: Amazing shape with very faint disc impression. No splits, tears, bends, creases or spine chipping. Still glossy and very sturdy after all these years with shiny lamination. Not perfect but as close as you're gonna get.
RECORD: Superficial scuff marks and lines. Looks like it wasn't played much. Deep-groove label is fully intact, clean and vibrant. Replacement paper sleeve.
I've acquired an estate vintage record collection that features various genre from the 1950's thru the 1970's including Comedy, Jazz, Swing, Rock and more. They took great care that so many look factory fresh.
