This is an original copy of Buddy Holly's early Decca sessions mostly produced by Owen Bradley in Nashville in 1956. This was recorded prior to his major success that happened a year later when he went to Clovis, New Mexico and recorded in Norman Petty's studio. This is really true early Holly performing a very uninhibited raw Rockabilly style. I have not listened to this record for many years but I just listened to it and I sure reflected back to when I first listened to it in 1958. The record has some scratches but it played very well and to me it still sounds great. The record still has a nice sheen but I graded it G+. Some people may give it a G and some a VG- or VG. When I removed the plastic sleeve to take the photos included here I noticed there is a faint circle stain on the front of the cover in the area of the title. Someone probably set a glass on it. It is not easy to see. I've enjoyed listening to this album and looking at the cover!
