Description
For your consideration is this exceptional 78 rpm record produced by the doo-wop group The Drifters on the Atlantic label in 1959. The a) side is There Goes My Baby and the b) side is Oh My Love. Visually the record grades to at least a C8:E+ condition - it could not be brighter and shinier, there is slight evidence that the record has been spindled, and there are a couple of tiny scuff marks.
Note: I recently acquired a small collection of mostly R&B 78's from the late 1950's, almost all of which are in C8:E+ or better condition. The seller could not explain why they are in such exceptional condition, just that they were in her family, but I suspect that the family upgraded to a 45 rpm record player right when these records were purchased, and thus they never got played.
