Description
For your consideration is this rare and exceptional 78 rpm record produced by the swamp pop artist Warren Storm on the Nasco label in June 1959, one of the last 78RPM records made in America. The a) side is So Long So Long and the b) side is I've Got My Heart in My Hand. Visually it grades to at least a C9:N- condition, except that there are tiny abrasions around the spindle hole, indicating that it has actually been played, so I'm calling it a C8:E+, but the record could not be brighter and shinier.
Note: I recently acquired a small collection of mostly R&B 78's from the late 1950's, almost all of which are in C9:N- or better condition. The seller could not explain why they are in such exceptional condition, just that they were in her family, but I suspect that the family upgraded to a 45 rpm record player right when these records were purchased, and thus they never got played.
