Description

The inscription "For Billy Best Always Ross" is the key to describing this rare soundtrack item as having Gay interest. Ross Hunter was the executive producer of the movie and openly gay in Hollywood at a time when such honesty was rare. I acquired these records from the estate of Willard M Wright (1926 - 2019), known to his friends as Billy, and a man who recorded his memories of being a Gay Pan Am steward for the LGBT History Museum in SF. I'm not sure of any more about their relationship, but it is a most interesting item!
