Description
This is from a top of the market collection, comprising of just early stereo rarities on Decca HMV, UK Columbia & RCA. First labels issues in Near Mint condition to 99% of them, all described in detail with plenty of pictures. Includes many items rarely seen on ebay.
1959 Uk Decca Original issue SXL 2150-2 Red Vinyl Sleeved (i.e. issued before the box sets) Wide Band Grooved ED1 true 1st type issue of Britten: Peter Grimes. The lid image the boxes have is included here as a large photograph, as called for. One small fine mark to one side start was very background on my moving coil, no other visible marks.
Labels are Original Recording by.. at ten o clock, with the wide silver band and ffss circle at 12 O' clock, and are deep grooved. Stampers are 1E2E2E2E3D2E. The original ffss inners are all present and also near mint.
This set is Near mint with good sheen, has clean labels with very few spindle marks, and the sleeve is Excellent Minus, as seen in pics, only issue being some age related cracking at the hinges as the vinyl folder may not have been expected to last 50 years.
