1959 Uk Decca SXL 2126 Wide Band grooved Ed1 (original recording by text to label rim) BACH Brandenburg Concertos No.2 & 5. Munchinger Pristine record is in Near Mint condition. The vinyl has all its original high gloss. The labels are completely clean. The colours are bold and the text is sharp. There appears to be only the slightest spindle wear.
The original front laminated sleeve is in Near Mint condition. The colours are bold and bright and the cover has barely a bend to it, no sharp creases, no splits pen or dirt. I put this on the turntable before cleaning it to get a sense of its play condition, as sometimes a near mint looking record can still have worn grooves, but this played like new after just the usual carbon fibre dust brush resting on the grooves before lowering the stylus. Quiet run in, beautiful warm valve cut stereo reproduction of music that really needs a clean record, as this can be very quiet in passages. Beautiful soloing from Willy Glas Flute & Siegfried Barchet Cello in both concerti. Best 1E1E stampers, telling us this was mastered by the excellent Stan Goodall. Original ffss inner included. You will not find a better original SXL 2126 out there.
This a new antistatic inner added and all resides, separated to prevent splits, in a heavy gauge new poly outer awaiting our careful packing in custom made hard card boxes.
