Description
This is the start of a list currently being sorted and graded to go from Sunday to Sunday. It is from a single collection of a president of a Chamber Music Society, lots of it from the earliest days of the LP. Condition is overall very impressive throughout, probably due to the depth and breadth of the collection.
Original 1959 2 separately issued lp's pressing of Bruno Walter in the Beethoven 9th and 8th.1st pressing Curved HiFi Stereo plum and silver coarse textured labels UK Philips 835 542/3 AY (SABL 169/170). 3 flips rear earliest type sleeve, with curved logos to both sides and the legend "The Symphonies in Stereo". Completely unmarked playing surfaces, clean labels, no damage to the sleeve, in lovely overall condition, may not have been played. I have a few from this series this week. For me this is as central to the canon of great Beethoven 9's as was the HMV Furtwangler to the mono era.

This is one of some very exciting classical rarities in my list this week, strong on Cello, Cello, Cello! & some Violin, great 50's & 60's stereo, TAS Listed Audiophile and a great chamber music selection. They are all well worth a look and a bid, same low start no reserve on everything regardless of value.
