Description
From my personal vinyl record collection of 55+ years.
I have played the records completely through (twice) and at 60 years they play remarkably well. I am grading them as VG. This allows for the light 'staticky' crackle, although its presence comes and goes throughout the recordings and is most noticeable on the long run-ins. The piano itself still sounds clear and precise.
The recording is dated in freehand as January1960 and this is probably confirmed by the printed label. The business moved from Aughton, Ormskirk to Hest Bank (still Lancs.) in 1962.
'The Variations' are also hand written on their respective sides. Side 1: 1 to 8, Side 2: 9 to 15, Side 3: 16 to 23, and Side 4: 24 to 30 (this finishes abruptly which suggests that the tape outran the approx. 20 minutes of recording time). Vinyl VG Generic Sleeve VG
