Description

One of a nice collection of Classical rarities we have just had in, a single cherished and many unplayed lps.

 1958 ED1 Uk Decca SXL 2010 Backhaus & the VPO with Schmidt Isserstedt in Beethoven 4th concerto. This has lovely big valve sound, beautiful piano balance to this recording, one of the greatest of all accounts of this ever recorded.

"Original Recording By" deep grooved labels, and the blue bordered design ffss artwork first type curved cut flipback sleeve. Nice lowest 1D1D stampers. Excellent record in a good sleeve, with all the problems at the base of the sleeve, 1cm chip to front corner, one side of flip lost as shown.

Heard throughout, this played near mint with the minumum amount of pops without even being cleaned.
