Description
1960 First year pressing of UK Decca ED1 WB Grooved original recording by labels UK Decca SXL 2180/2181 Puccini: Tosca from Molinari Pradelli with soloists Tebaldi, Del Monaco & George London. Earliest type Green Vinyl Folder issue, which is clean and intact but as usual the clear window front is by now shinking a bit, and this one has a little closed tear near the top, no other faults. Nice low full matching set of 2E2E2E2E stampers, denoting mastering by the excellent Stan Goodall, who appeared to have a fondness for the vocal projects, with many of the best early stereo opera deccas having his initial in the run out grooves as here. The ffss inner sleeves are present and pristine.
This record is not warped, labels are clean.
This is Near Mint in an Near Mint sleeve.
This will be cleaned on a professional wash and vacuum machine, rehoused in a VPI antistatic inners, packed in a poly outer with the original inners included. Posted in custom made oversize corrugated card boxes, sent signed for.
