More rare Jazz Every day this week! Blue Notes Monk, Esquire Originals Art Pepper Contemporary Vogues etc! 1960 UK MONO BPG 62066 MILES DAVIS KIND OF BLUE. Yes there are probably millions of reissue copies of this out there, usually voted the greatest jazz album of all time, but few are seen above VG from 60 years ago. English CBS were less compressed than US Columbia's back then, as the US engineers loved there limiters, to stop records from skipping, when played on cheap players, so they got less returns. This has very little groove wear, attested to by my careful listen on a high end system, plus the reasonable amount of spindle marks for a 61 year old album, as you can see in the hi res pics, there is very little wear to the centre hole, and the vinyl lustre is great. Brand new master tapes ran through a valve amp to cut this, so best woody bass sound, no hiss to cymbals, lovely warm mono playback throughout. Rear of the sleeve is a bit cleaner than in the pic, I ran a rubber eraser gently along the flip edges to remove some of the black. 1L2 2L1 lowest stampers. Excellent All Round. Sleeve has neat name to rear, but is better than most copies we see, as no splits, minimal dirt, no laminate bubbling, corners decent. Record has very few fine marks, non of which are feelable, sound is excellent on my mono ortofon cartridge. This is the best sounding pressing of this i have ever heard, I've had about 8 versions over the years. Our ethos is to offer you best sounding analogue only pressings of vintage records. We pack carefully in custom made hard card boxes. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water. This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
