1960s Full Set of Near Mint Lyrita RCS 10,11,12 & 26 of the BAX PIANO solo MUSIC played by the magnificent Iris Loveridge. A sonata to each of these lps, followed by miniature tone poems. All four have flip back sleeves, the first two have the curved cut flips of the earlier years, the 2nd LP is 1963 earliest type issue on the Pye pressing dished Olive background label with tax stamps to both sides, the 3rd and 4th are deep grooved 1st type Decca issues for their year, RCS 10 is a 1K3K pressing, probably from the late 60s judging by the red mono inner. The Deccas were all mastered by the excellent engineer Tony Hawkins, who got a lot of the solo piano work. It took me a good few years to get a great sounding full near mint complete set together, but this is still cheaper than some of the individual lps have gone for in later pressings and not as good condition. For me Bax is the most exciting of the British composers, tinged with the mystical, gorgeous tone poems for Orchestra & Piano, I take delight in all his work. We offer massive postage subsidies to overseas buyers on multiple purchases. i.e £1 extra per lp to a maximum of £15, then no extra charge. We pack carefully in custom made hard card boxes. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water. This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
