Description

From a shop stockroom bought 10 years ago, a nice selection this week across all genres of vinyl, as test pressings, new Old Stock best sounding pressings, loads of treats for the finest tables and high end systems. Note the penchant for great orchestral recordings, as here.

ARAM  KHACHATURIAN  /  VIENNA  PHILHARMONIC  ORCHESTRA

SXL  6000  WIDE  BAND  ED3 UK 1968 or 9 MATRIX: nice low 2E  /  2E stampers. The story with these appears to be that it sold poorly in the 1960's, then a television series during the early 70's had this first track as its theme tune, so hundreds of thousands of the narrow band pressings were made and sold. Wide bands are very thin on the ground though, you just hardly ever see them. Pristine Near mint all round, an exceptional example of a genuine valve era pressing of a very desirable TAS listed audiophile lp.

Best one we have had in 30+ years!.

Condition: Near Mint LP and sleeve,  barely played 1960's issue.
