1961 1st UK HMV Stereo Gil Evans Orchestra Out of the Cool CSD 1367, with the bold corner lettering to the flipback sleeve and the prettiest labels in the history of Jazz, jade with a gold rim and lettering plus nipper and Stereophonic sound waves. A lovely presentation of this classic Impulse session from Gil and Orchestra, produced by the great Creed Taylor. Sounds fabulous as a valve signal path golden age of stereo pressing from 62 years ago, before I was born even. This was made back then from the then brand new master tapes, the £50+ reissues of today are trying to tickle up the same tapes in very old condition, requiring studio trickery, as audio tape deteriorates in a way vinyl does not. For many jazz lovers, usually in their top five larger group jazz albums. Treat yourself to a top 1st year issue!. Our ethos is to offer you best sounding analogue only pressings of vintage records.
