One of a nice collection of Classical rarities we have just had in, all nice clean originals.
1961 ED1 UK Decca SXL 2275 Ansermet & the OSR in 3 works by Bizet: Symphony, Jeux d'Enfants & Jolie Fille de Perth Suite. Wide Band Grooved Original Recording By labels, flip back sleeve first type issue.
This is not near mint, but I have heard it throughout, and it plays without skips, is not warped and has no writing to the sleeve. Apart from the several light surface marks which hardly if ever sound, there is a 4mm mark to side 2 which does click, and then a tiny dot near the end, which might just be stubborn dirt. I tend not to list records below excellent usually, but his is an expensive lp going in to the hundreds usually, so I figured someone would be happy to pay a low price for a first press whilst waiting for the perfect one to come along.
Single digit stampers, these are pressed by Decca in the golden age of SXL's, receiving all that loving care to produce great valve era stereo sound from the mastertapes.
This has several surface marks, as detailed above, has clean labels and the sleeve is Excellent Minus with a I cm closed tear near the middle of the opening. Spine is intact and reads fine, flips are undamaged
