Description
Alan Lomax and Shirley Collins embarked on a trip to discover folk traditions through the southern US in late 1959 that yielded the Southern Journeys series on Prestige Records. Lomax continued to champion field recording that expanded popular interest in ethnomusicology. Collins went on to star in the 60's UK folk revival. THIS COPY DOES NOT INCLUDE AN INSERT.
GRADE vinyl = vg; hairline scratches betray minor clicks/surface noise; plays through without skipping cover = vg; 6" split on the top edge, otherwise light edge wear; light ring wear is evident; bottom spine indicates discoloration
