FYI: "Al Jackson Jr. - Real Name: Albert J. Jackson Jr. - Profile: Drummer, producer and songwriter, born 27 November 1934 in Memphis, Tennessee, died 1 October 1975 in Memphis, Tennessee. Has played on a stellar amount of Memphis-based recordings in the 1960's and 70's, as he was active for both the Stax and the Hi Records label. Jackson was a member of Booker T & The MG's since the band formed in 1962.
Booker T. Jones - Real Name: Booker Taliaferro Jones Jr. - Profile: Multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, arranger and producer, born 12 November 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee. Founding member of Stax' in-house band Booker T & The MG's in 1962. He left Booker T & The MG's and the label in 1970, to embark on a career as a producer and solo artist. Father of Booker T. Jones III.
Lewis Steinberg - Profile: Lewis (Lewie) Steinberg (born September 13, 1933, Memphis, Tennessee - died July 22, 2016) was an American musician. He was the bass player for Booker T & The MG's and was a co-composer of their big hit "Green Onions". Was later replaced by Donald "Duck" Dunn.
Steve Cropper - Real Name: Steven Lee Cropper - Profile: American guitarist, songwriter, arranger and producer, born 21 October 1941 near Dora, Missouri. Founding member of both The Mar-Keys (originally named The Royal Spades) in the late 1950s, and Stax' in-house band Booker T & The MG's in the early 1960s. Was succesfully active for the label as an A&R manager, musician, one-time solo artist, engineer, producer and songwriter, co-writing classic songs such as Knock On Wood, The Dock Of The Bay and In the Midnight Hour. He left Booker T & The MG's and the label in 1970, to embark on a career as a session musician and producer, working with artists like Jeff Beck, Tower Of Power and Ringo Starr. In the 1980s he recorded two more solo albums. Cropper is also an original member of The Blues Brothers Band. In the early 70s he belongs to the stuff of Clover Recorders."
