LOUIS 45-6800
MATRIX SIDE A: BB6801 1D PHILLIPS^SM
MATRIX SIDE B: BB6802 1D PHILLIPS^SM
ORIGINAL ISSUE 1962
LISTEN TO BOTH SIDES!

Lots of that early Memphis Rockabilly can be heard and felt on this 1962 classic 45.  Dennis Turner was part of the local music scene and hung out close to Sun and his production assistant back then, Ike Turner.  No knowledge if this singer has a connection to Ike.  Louis was tied to Fernwood, but also had ties to the city of St. Louis.  But the sessions, many of them anyway, were known to have been recorded on Union Avenue in Memphis.  In the matrix, it clearly identifies Phillips as the source and the intitials SM probably point to Scotty Moore, part of the original Elvis era musicians at SUN. 1962 Rockabilly gem!  Hard to find this one.  Since there is limited purchase history on this one, we are listing it as an Auction with a very low opening bid.

LABELS:
We rely on extreme close-up photos to describe the label condition.  The photos are the actual item being sold and always feature both sides.  Any other issues will be pointed out here.  Note the initials on the right section of the A side label.  Overall both look good.

DISC:
We always record the entire track of the actual record being sold.  There are no filters or equalization applied.  The record is recorded "flat".  Buyers should assume that most older records will have some surface, background noise along with a pop or two and sometimes more.  That is why the time is taken to record the full record so you can be the judge as to the audio quality. The audio is available for both tracks.  Some pops appear near the front of the A side but not skips and no long term pattern to those.  The B side plays well too.  Visually there are the typical storage scuffs and light scratching on the vinyl but nothing significant.  Listen and judge the aural grade for yourself.

PRACTICES & POLICIES:
Most records are visually inspected and then washed and cleaned.  Higher valued records will include audio samples of the exact record being listed.  Our photos are also original ones of the exact item.  We do not play grade or rate records.

Our refund policy is based on total buyer satisfaction so we only refund full payment upon return.  We do not offer post purchase partial refunds.
