Description
Rare, 1962 Notre Dame Collegiate Jazz Festival Competition Finalists. Each side of the three records is a Set by one of the six College Jazz band 6 Finalists. Final session in competition from April 7 1962. Bob James Trio took honors, five judges including Quincy Jones and Henry Mancini, see pictures of inner description which tells how Quincy Jones got Bob James Trio a record deal with Mercury records right after this event. What a story, notice how the front cover has the CJF Art work taped to the white Gatefold cover, and the inner description taped in also, might be the first year they had this on any Vinyl, couldn't have been many. Cover has dented corners , a little surface tear on back, lower left corner. Vinyl is EX, shiny nice , I can only a few very light little scratches I played all three, could only barely hear two short areas with very faint tic, excellent recording.
