Description
This is our first sale from a top of the market collection, comprising of just early stereo rarities on Decca HMV, UK Columbia & RCA. First labels issues in Near Mint condition to 99% of them, all described in detail with plenty of pictures. Includes many items rarely seen on ebay.
Lowest 1E1E stampers 1st anywhere issue 1963 Uk Decca SXL 6081 of Ansermet & the Suisse Romande behind Regine Crespin in Ravel – Sheherazade & Berlioz – Nuits d’ete song cycles. Absolutely beautiful readings of these from this combination of soprano & conductor. Includes the original lyric insert.
Labels are ED1 with original recording by.. at ten o clock, with the wide silver band and ffss circle at 12 O' clock. The pristine original company ffss inner is present. This is visually near mint with good sheen & no marks to the playing surfaces, has clean labels with very few spindle marks, and the sleeve is Mint minus with a bit of rear yellowing only, as seen in pics, no pen or excess dirt, no splits or bends.
