1964 Beatles / Mary Wells Tour Programme
Original 1964
A Nationwide tour presented by Arthur Howes and Brian Epstein.
The beatles described Mary Wells as their favourite American singer at the time. This programme was from a concert at the Liverpool Empire, hometown to the Beatles. It was attended by my mother.
The tour ran from 9th October 1964 to 10th November 1964. My mother had a busy autumn, she also saw the Stones at the Empire in September. That programme is also being auctioned currently, please see my other auctions.
This superb item has 16 pages of information & photographs with Beatles '4 Aces' front cover, measuring 8"x 10.25".
The condition of this item is superb for a forty year old paper item. There is a very small crease on the bottom right corner. Other than that, it is pretty immaculate and there cannot be many copies in as good condition. It has been well looked after.
The start price has been set sensibly below dealer prices for this item.
This is one of several auctions for Beatles and Rolling Stones memorabilia dating from 1962-1966. All items where collected by my teenage mother at the time and are all original memorabilia. Items will be described individually in terms of condition and postage costs.
My mother has lived in Liverpool all her life and so most items are collected ‘locally’ at the time. They have now been sitting in my mothers attic for over 40 years and it's about time they got out.
All items are at present located in North Wales, approx 30 miles from Liverpool, UK.
