Description
Obscure album from The Toads from Lawrenceville, New Jersey, a self-titled LP on no name label (private pressing). Produced by Kenneth Raymond Wight Associates, Princeton New Jersey. Extremely rare garage frat record instrumental LP! They sound a bit like The Ventures. Mostly covers, though a few look like they are original songs! The songs include Morpheus, Movin', Stranger On The Shore, Sleepwalk, Baja, Will You Still Love Me, Checkmate, You Can't Sit Down, A Love Affair, New Wrinkle, Penetration, Ebb Tide, Medley. The group was the pride of the Lawrenceville Prep School in Lawrenceville, New Jersey! The group was anchored by Dusty Stretch on drums. Dusty Stretch and another group member had been, several years earlier, in the Lawrenceville Prep School Band, Davy And The Badmen. The other two members had been in the Chessmen, another Lawrenceville band! This LP is ultra rare and was issued in a quantity of 100-150. Very few have survived! The cover was manufactured by Rite Records Productions of Cincinnati Ohio.
Condition of the vinyl is visually graded at G/VG. There is a lot of visible surface scratching but few look deep. The cover is also G/VG. There are no splits on the edges but there is some surface wear and a name in pen on the top edge and there are some faint stains on the back.
