Description

One of a nice collection of Classical rarities we have just had in, a single cherished and many unplayed lps.

1964 UK Decca Wide Band Grooved Original Recording By labels SXL 6129 Julius Katchen in Brahms solo Piano sonatas Ops 1&2.

Record is in Near Mint condition, no marks and very clean playing surfaces. Upton printed Sleeve is Near Mint . Original FFSS inner is near mint, the little sign of wear to this suggesting as do the lack of many spindle trails that this has not been played much in its 50 year life. A highly regarded top collectable SXL. in an earliest type pressing, with most desirable  Stan Goodall mastered 1E1E first year stampers.

Heard throughout, this played excellent with a minimal amount of surface without even being cleaned.
