Description

Up for auction is the 1965 sound recording, HELP! by The Beatles.  This is an early U.S. printing that I purchased (soon after seeing the movie) at E.J. Korvette in New York City (KXL is written in light ink at the bottom right corner of the rear cover, the store's normal checkout procedure).  This is the monaural (not stereo) Capitol Records release #MAS 2386.  It has the black label surrounded by a rainbow band that was in use by Capitol in the mid-1960s.  It bears the stamped letters "IAM" inside a triangle which indicate that it was pressed on the East Coast, in Scranton, Pennsylvania.  The matrix numbers stamped into the run-out groove area are M1 - 2386 - G8 3 (on side one) and M2 - 2386 - G8 2 (on side two).  The label's side number has no serif on the number "1" indicating it was printed on the East Coast by Keystone Printed Specialties.  The "MFD BY CAPITOL RECORDS" on the label does not use the word "Subsidiary."

CONDITION: 33-1/3rd vinyl disc in original gatefold album.  Vinyl is NEAR MINT.  Labels are clean and bright.  Album covers are rubbed and lightly soiled.  Interior of album is clean and bright.
