1965 Glenn Records 45 G-116. "George Weston-A. Before a Heart Breaks B. Now I'm Lonely". Super rare.
Between May 1958 and 1967 George Weston released a series of 8 45 RPM records on the Tally, Jackpot, Challenge and Glenn Records labels. The three 45s he recorded for Glenn Records are by far the rarest. According to people who knew George, Glen MacArther, owner of the small Glenn Records label in Palmdale, California, would press enough 45s to pass out to the local radio stations, and a few more for friends. The records were not distributed to record stores. So, if you wanted a copy you had to track down Glen or George. Few people bothered, making the records extremely rare, and in this condition unheard of. I have been searching for George's 45s for several years. This is only the second copy of this record I've seen.
The winner of this auction will also receive a copy of a 26 track CD I compiled, with the help of 3 other George Weston fans, "George Weston-Too Good To Be True". This CD includes all of the 45s and several unreleased tracks.
