PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. RARE and sought after 1965 FIRST PRINTING with minty clean vinyl with BOLD MONAURAL production punch that is so suitable for the sound of the sixties... ... SO hard to find in CLEAN condition like this!!!
The Bobby Fuller Four were garage rockers with a desirable raw melodic sound yet had enough polish to cover some of the songs of the day and make them interesting. KRLA KING OF THE WHEELS has always been a difficult album to find. Released just before their national breakout hit "I Fought The Law" ...Bobby Fullers death at a young age makes this a rare glimpse into a group that showed promise.
Producer Bob Keane and disc jockeys from (hip 60's) KRLA radio station in Los Angeles helped conceive the idea for this album. The KRLA Top Eliminator was a customized dragster made to help promote KRLA, and the Bobby Fuller Four provide this eleven song album. The title track is a (stronger than the original) reworking of "King Of The Beach," and an earlier record from the band's days in El Paso, Texas. There are three other car songs, including a killer version of Buddy Holly's "Love's Made A Fool Of You." and much of the album is rendered in Fuller's trademark Tex-Mex Garage Meets the British Invasion styles of the mid sixties.
KRLA KING OF THE WHEELS remains a much sought after rarity after 48 years, and rightly so...

CONDITION: The cover: rated: M- Very collectible; the thick cardboard cover is very nice and clean for a wear highly prone dark color cover; almost always (IF) found shows considerable wear. But this copy is one of the best survivors we've yet to come across ... 50 years old and still very sharp! The back cover which, for some reason, always has a browning discoloration tone - here a CLEAN back cover too ... overall strong original colors, no split seams, no bends, no writing & no delete marks ...
The vinyl: Rated: M- TOP COPY CLEAN (over BOTH sides!) ... play back will not reveal alarming or distracting surface problems ... both mono Mustang labels are clean
