1965 Rare Beach Boys Salt Lake City PROMO ONLY 45rpm Record Capitol 2936 / 2937
"SALT LAKE CITY" / "AMUSEMENT PARKS U.S.A." by the Beach Boys! This is the rarest of Beach Boys records - these hardly ever turn up!
This rare 45rpm Capitol Records 45 rpm record (Label number is PRO 2936 and PRO 2937 on the flip side) was given out free by the stores in the downtown shopping district of Salt Lake City (35 miles north of here), and by KNAK Radio Station, the Salt Lake Radio Station which Heavily Promoted the Beach Boys in the mid 1960's. Printing on both labels state: "Courtesy Of Downtown Salt Lake City Stores This is the MOST VALUABLE of All the Beach Boy's Singles due to the limited amount that were made and given out, and because this was never commercially released as a single. Not perfect, but for a forty-eight years old, not bad.
NO Stock photo here... Our posted pictures are the exact 45 rpm that is for sale. This comes in a Standard White Sleeve. Light standard play wear - Sound is fine - No skips! See my photos - surface still has a nice sheen! Nice condition on the flip side label of, "Amusement Parks, U.S.A.", but someone put masking tape on the "Salt Lake City" side's label.
Why???!!!!!
