Description
Here is an original piece of Record Shop publicity from 1965 promoting the
SPECIAL LP RELEASE
of
'THERE IS ONLY ONE ROY ORBISON'
IT's NEW! IT's GREAT! ORDER NOW!
This item measures 5.5 X 9 inches (approx 14 X 23 cms)
and would look great framed!
SUPPLIED WITH AN ORIGINAL DECCA GROUP ENVELOPE FROM THE SAME YEAR !
This record shop publicity item would have been sent by the publicity department at the DECCA RECORD GROUP, of which the LONDON LABEL was a part, to record stores throughout the UK in the hope of creating record orders. The reality was that most store managers regarded the constant flow of publicity from the various record companies as junk mail and would simply throw most of it away. A few years ago we were fortunate enough to purchase a quantity of unused promotional publicity from an old fashioned record shop which had already been closed for many years and this item is from that collection.
FLYER CONDITION: Unused and as new with no folds or creases. The blue print is as sharp and vibrant as when first printed and the paper on which it was printed has lost none of it's original whiteness.
ENVELOPE CONDITION: Superb with no folds or creases and postmarked 15 OCT 1965. Note that the address has been crossed out neatly with felt pen.
POST AND PACKING: It will packed safely between two pieces of stiff cardboard prior to posting.
UK: £2 which includes 79p for Recorded Delivery postage and will require a signature upon delivery.
EUROPE: £6.45 which includes £4.95 for International Signed For postage and will require a signature upon delivery.
USA, JAPAN and Worldwide: £7.45 which includes £4.95 for International Signed For postage and will require a signature upon delivery.
Any item bought on eBay from us can be collected in person at the shop and of course no P&P charges will be necessary. However the item must be paid for as soon as the item ends just as with any normal transaction requiring posting, and please email us first for an adjusted invoice before paying.
