Description
This is a "special pressing" vinyl record of the Beatles famous 1966 album "Yesterday and Today" with the "Butcher" cover. It is NOT a first, second, or third state cover. It is a re-issue that was purchased at Waterloo Records in Austin, Texas around 2010. IT HAS NEVER BEEN OPENED, IN MINT CONDITION. It is a "High Fidelity" recording, most likely in mono as was the original album in 1966.
This cover from the 1966 album "Yesterday and Today" was released in the United States and Canada by Capitol Records. It features a photo from Robert Whitaker depicting the band dressed in white smocks and covered with decapitated baby dolls and pieces meat. Capitol Records printed 750,000 copies of this album with the original "Butcher" cover before recalling them and replacing the cover with a bland one featuring the Beatles sitting around an open trunk. The original albums from 1966 are worth a ton of money.

September 23rd change: In response to a couple of folks who know the Beatles better than I do, I removed the comment about how the Beatles had the picture put on the cover as a protest against Capitol Records having "butchered" their records. Otherwise, everything else is true.
