Description
THIS IS THE MID/LATE-70s US REPRESSING on on VANGUARD Records. MARBLE/SWIRL label. The still in shrink single cover is in VG+ CONDITION, normal wear, and without any major deterioration, BUT light discolouration/wear on right edge/corners (where missing shrink), surface sticker mark on rear (top left corner), left spine is fully readable, for details see photos (with and without flashlight). The vinyl is in EX condition, and plays wonderfully.

Regarded as the last of the great Chicago harmonica players, Junior Wells was an impressive stylist and a leading practitioner of postwar blues harmonica. He was one bad dude, strutting across the stage like a harp-toting gangster, mesmerizing the crowd with his tough-guy antics and rib-sticking Chicago blues attack. Amazingly, Junior Wells kept at precisely this sort of thing for over 40 years; he was an active performer from the dawn of the '50s until his death in the late '90s.
"IT'S MY LIFE, BABY!"
Some of this album, Junior Well's first solo record for Vanguard, was recorded in Pepper's Lounge on Chicago's south side, to get the feeling of a blues band working with its blues audience. The rest was done at Universal Studion in Chicago.
