Description

Sheppards--Poor Man's Thing / When Johnny Comes Marching Home--Impact 1018.  Great two-sided garage out of Detroit, summer of 1966.  A-side is an excellent midtempo jangler with great lyrics and perfect vocals, full of contempt.  This young man has girl trouble, but tells her off and lets her know, " I Ain't Waitin' For You No More" as the chorous.  Very nice guitar with a nifty break and tambourine make this cut a sure winner.  Tune was comped on Pebbles # 21 and Follow That Munster # 2.  The flip sure isn't what is expected when seeing the title.  A super version, fast-paced with very well-played guitar and a real nice break--cool vocals too.  This was comped on Garage Punk Unknowns # 5.  Vinyl is Mint - .  Label has an " X " in marker on B-side, otherwise very clean.
