Description
Here is a MEGA RARE Beatles album my collection offered up for sale: an original 1966 MONO 2nd state pressing of THE BEATLES "Yesterday & Today" album. This album was released June 15th 1966 on Capitol records T-2553, has colorband labels and heavy vinyl, #6 on back cover, LA press. This is an original BUTCHER COVER that was recalled immediately and then sent back out with the factory issued "trunk cover" front slick pasted over it! This one is mostly "unpeeled" ~ a small portion of the trunk cover was peeled at the opening (the Butcher slick underneath appears to be damaged from this previous owner's attempt to peel it. The rest of the front cover is fabulous, Ringo's turtleneck clearly shows through the trunk replacement slick at peel.)
The 2nd state cover rates EX, is clean and bright, seams are in excellent condition, no splits, no tape, binder solid and printing readable, no signatures or writing, minimal age discoloration, looks minimally handled! (see all photos)
The vinyl rates EX, is super glossy and clean, has a few faint sleeve marks and a few small light marks on each side, nothing heavy or feel-able, looks minimally played. Has been PLAY TESTED and plays excellent from start to finish! The inner sleeve is excellent with just one small center split.
A second state super rarity getting harder & harder to find .
Will be shipped in plastic sleeve in a record mailing box with tracking. Vinyl will be shipped in paper sleeve outside cover to prevent cover splits. Check my seller's list eBay store "Groove Vibrations" for more Beatles records and other vintage record gems!
Thanks for looking!
