On the auction block today comes this SCARCE The Beatles "Yesterday and Today" 3rd STATE STEREO BUTCHER COVER, NO RECORD, CAPITOL ST 2553, RIAA 2 (SCRANTON, PA.). The cover was professionally peeled over 20 years ago by you know who in NJ, and a beautiful peel at that! There's a small vertical tear at the top approx. 1/2" that doesn't make it to the image area, beautiful color, one of the finest peels I've ever seen. The peel grades VG++, the top seam has an approx. 2 1/2" split that was tediously repaired nicely and shows scattered flaking. The bottom right corner seam has a tiny piece of paper missing and scattered flaking, worn upper left corner, spine printing legible but has wear and has scattered flaking, and there's minor soiling on the top front border. The back shows general soiling, small tear at the top and an indentation in the same area, name in red marker, and ring wear. The balance of the cover grades VG. FRAMING AND MATTING WOULD ENHANCE IT'S BEAUTY! RECALL LETTER WILL BE INCLUDED BUT NOT PICTURED.
