1966 UK Decca deep Grooved FFRR labels true valve press 2nd issue Stereo of Maag in the Mendelssohn 3rd & Hebrides Overture. This is the next issue of SXL 2246, which recently sold on here for £349, so almost a tenth of that seems fair. The music is delicious and the account is definitive. Additionally, the guide to SXL's refers to these FFRR's being the best pressings of Deccas in the 60s as the lathe was better than the one used for the golden age ones. I find it has to be a record by record thing, as I prefer the Japanese Kings to some of the UK issues sometimes, controversial though that may be as an opinion, but I have heard most of the SXL catalogue, usually in various pressings over the decades, and that is where I am at!. This is near mint and plays Near mint, in a near mint sleeve. Our ethos is to offer you best sounding analogue only pressings of vintage records. Here is another beauty of that type. We offer massive postage subsidies to overseas buyers on multiple purchases. i.e £1 extra per lp to a maximum of £15, then no extra charge. We pack carefully in custom made hard card boxes. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water. This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
