Original AFRTS transcription LP RL‑22‑0, pairing Vicente Gomez’s The Versatile Guitar with Laurindo Almeida’s Classical Current. Produced exclusively for U.S. service members and distributed to bases worldwide, AFRTS discs were never sold commercially. Collectors prize these for their scarcity and unusual pairings - here showcasing Gomez’s versatile interpretations of popular standards alongside Almeida’s classical‑jazz fusion.

VG record / VG sleeve. Both sides retain strong gloss with only faint rubs, minor sleeve scuffs, and a few very fine hairlines. Playback is clean overall, with faint surface noise noted throughout, most of which is believed to be equipment‑related. A few pops and crackles were heard, plus one small audible scuff on Side 2, but no skips or tracking issues. Labels show matching “185” markings, minor staining, and light scratches but remain legible. The generic AFRTS sleeve is VG with matching “185” markings, faint staining, minor fading, two small tears at the center hole, and light ring wear; no true seam splits. Playback may vary depending on equipment; sold as‑is.
