Henchmen--Stone, Stone / Slippin' And Slidin'--Bell Sound Studios acetate, no #.  Monster garage punk two-sider that's guaranteed to put a smile on your face.  Acetate was done for London Records, January 1967, but has more of a 1965 sound.  The energy level on the original-side is absolutely staggering--full-speed ahead with fantastic vocals, pounding drums, super organ, and mindblowing, killer guitar with an insane break.  The flip is a dandy version of the classic, with excellent instrumentation; I had never heard this tune performed in this manner, very well done.  Acetate surface appears VG -, but disc plays much better.  Scratches and scuffs are not deep and acetate plays well.  There are some spots on the edge of the cue-in area, (Slippin' And Slidin' side), where the lacquer has flaked off, but nowhere near the playing surface and the tune can be played easily with automatic rejecting mode, as well as manually. Typed-labels have moderate soiling.  A-side label is affixed off-center and there is some fraying of paper at the center hole, but print is easily legible (see scan please).  Sadly, the # 1 song in the nation at the time of this acetate was Monkees--I'm A Believer.  Sometimes life can be so cruel!  Sound clips will be included--enjoy!!!  Postage for this item is NOT $4.00.  U.S. postage/insurance is $15.00.  Overseas, registered mail is $19.00.  Please wait for invoice.
