During its third annual spring tour, the choir will sing — by invitation — in seven churches across the state. The fall tour will carry ithem into about five other churches. Director is Kenneth Little with Mrs. Little as pianist and organist. Members of the Tour Choir are among the thousands of children who have been cared for since 1885 by the Baptist Children's Homes of North Carolina. This year, the Homes will provide care and related services for more than 1,300 children and their families. The seven maior services of the Children's Homes include on campus living at four Homes, foster home care, financial aid to help keep families together, specialized servi- ces for emotionally disturbed children, supervision of discharged children, family counseling and other services designed to strengthen wholesome Christian family life. In addition to Mills Home at Thomasville, there is Kennedy Home at Kinston, Odum Home at Pembroke and the Greer Home at Chapel Hill. Plans are to establish a campus in Western North Carolina. The ultimate goal of the Children’s Homes is to provide each boy and girl with an oppor- tunity to meet the Saviour. Most make professions of faith in Christ soon after coming to live at the Homes. At Mills Home and the other campuses children live in cottages with houseparents in situa- tions as near to family-style living as possible. The Homes seek to minister to their total needs: spiritual, emotional, educational, physical, social and cultural. Building a better tomorrow for the children of today has always been the dedicated concern of the Children's Homes. Today’s children will become the adults who shape tomorrow’s world. No task is more important tnan helping a child, hurt by life to grow Into healthy, well adjusted, responsible citizenship. LEAD MUSIC MINISTRY —Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Lit- tle are ministers of music at Mills Home. They joined the staff Sept. 1, 1964, coming from First Baptist Church, Marion, where she was organ- ist and he was minister of music. They are graduates of Lenoir Rhyne College, Hick- ory. Their work at Mills Home includes the church music & education program, and indi- vidual instructions in piano and organ. The music pro- gram involving more than 250 children.
