Up for grabs is an original 2-lot of Epic Records (Yellow labels) - a RARE 1967 STEREO pressing & the VHTF 1971 STEREO pressing by The Yardbirds
- "The Yardbirds Greatest Hits"
- "Live Yardbirds, Featuring Jimmy Page". 

The latter "Live Yardbirds", as history tells us, was pulled from shelves within a couple of months, after Led Zeppelin and Peter Grant stated that this was not the current sound they were promoting.

The "Live" copy is a 1st pressing with "-1A" trail-off markings on both sides and the "Greatest Hits" edition has "-1B" trail-off markings on both sides.

Both LPs are pressed on medium to heavy weighted vinyl and have their original covers and sleeves.

Trail-off markings:
Side 1:  O   XSB117171-1B     A 5

LABEL:
Side 1:  VG+ - bright color and print, light spindle marks
Side 2:  VG+/VG - bright color and print, light spindle marks, very small stain spots, light sleeve wear

VINYL:
Side 1:  VG+ - very light needle marks/sleeve scuffs, needs light cleaning 
Side 2:  VG+/VG - light needle marks/sleeve scuffs (has two heavier, surface only (not felt as deep - only on surface), needs light cleaning 
- this vinyl has light needle marks/sleeve scuffs - sound quality should not be diminished on Side 1, unknown on Side 2. This LP was not play tested.

COVER: VG/VG+
- Thick and heavy card stock cover still retains a lot of the original gloss, light ring wear is noticeable, light print wear at top from shelf/storage/handling
- Handling/shelf stress creases along spine and near center-opening
- 1.5" to 2" seam split at bottom-center edge
- Bottom and top edges have shelf/storage/handling wear, with some light paper loss at top/bottom-spine corners
- Both edges have crackling, light shelf/storage/handling wear
- Spine is still straight, crisp, and shows light shelf/handling wear - mainly at corners
- Corners are still overall square, but have very light rounding and have light shelf/storage/handling wear with light bends
- Back cover has light bends/creases, light ring wear at top and bottom-center, light staining to top-opening corner and along opening (from handling?), OW in color with light browning
- B&W letter print is crisp and sharp

SLEEVE: If present, is used only for transport and will not be graded or visually described, unless entire edition (album vinyl, cover, and sleeve) is VG+ or better.

- Original plain paper sleeve
- Seam splits, tears, bends/creases from storage/handling
- OW in color

- Both edges have crackling, light shelf/storage/handling wear
- Spine is still straight and shows moderate shelf/storage/handling wear
- Corners are rounding (except top-spine) and have shelf/storage/handling wear with light bends, feathering, separation
- Back cover has light bends/creases along top edge and an approx. 1" tear at bottom-center, light ring wear at top-center and opening
- Paper loss from small surface scuffs at bottom-opening corner region and top-spine region
- B&W letter print is crisp and sharp, except as noted

Overall, these copies are 45+ years old and are in a VG+/VG visual conditions and are suitable for any collection. These LPs have not been played. Visual grades are subjective.

I will combine shipping if winning multiple lots or auctions. Please refer to non-album/LP auctions for combine shipping charges for those other auctions, because they will differ.

All LP grades assigned are subjective and may differ from another person's viewpoint. I am not a professional grader, but I have collected records and albums for over 35 years. When LPs or records are play tested, they are disc-brush cleaned and then played on a 1980s Pioneer direct-drive turntable using Stanton or AudioTechnica needles.

Combined Shipping costs for LP auctions:- Will be recalculated to include a new shipping charge. Additional costs will be applied after the shipping cost of the heaviest weighted auction that was won (i.e. a 2-LP record lot is heavier than a single LP lot.)- I will combine auction shipment costs for up to four (4) LPs (4 single LPs, 2 double LPs, or a combination of both types, not to exceed four LPs in the album mailer). I do this, so they will ship securely in a record mailer and without possible damage during shipment. An additional amount of $.50 per LP will be added after the initial charge. - I use a prefabricated 12" record mailer for all LP shipments and will only add insurance upon request.
